love / selflessness
I hear the whisper of love buzzing the air
A beautiful feeling but yet so not beautiful
Love itself is beautiful if it is selfless
But selfish love dominates the air in this season of love called 'valentine'
Valentine says show love on this date I set apart
But love says celebrate people at each opportunity life throws at you
Show love to those in your circle daily because
You do not know if they will make it to the next 'valentine's day'
Love isn't about what you will give or get
Love is not a daily act…it is a lifestyle!
Love is genuine in its purest meaning: selflessness
Because true love loves at all times
Some folks will miss out on the roses, chocolates, or stuffed animals
Especially on this set apart day called 'valentine'
But remember love isn't about stuff you get on a day or on any other day
Love is sharing part of yourself selflessly especially to those who need it most
Instead of beating yourself over gifts you didn't or will not receive
Be the gift someone else longs for! A hug, a 'hello', or a smile, are all priceless
But embodied in the epitome of love.
The greatest love is when one sacrificially gives up himself for others!
