KISS THE SON
He was born out of an immaculate conception
Born to take the place of man in death
Born to reconcile man to God
Born for the purpose of eternal redemption
Redeeming man from sin and death
The Son of God who became the Son of man
So that the sons of man can become the sons of God…
He has no earthly father and no heavenly mother
No trace of His divine sperm, because no sperm formed Him
Man did not make Him, but He made man to come through man
He exchanged His glorious throne for a manger
To come to the rescue of a doomed world…
He left His golden throne to walk the unpaved roads of earth
Taking up the sins of man and yet no sin was found in Him
Death couldn't take Him until He permitted it
A true Son of God, and the best gift to man
As we celebrate yet another season of His resurrection
Kiss the Son, by not putting Him back on the cross
Kiss the Son, by not profaning & insulting the blood He shed
Kiss the Son, by considering the covenant blood as Holy
And not treating it as common and unhallowed
Kiss Him because He first gave man the kiss of life…
Kiss the Son, lest He be angry…
